This Indian style masala has been influenced by East Africa, India and Southeast Asia. It's most often used to season pilaus (rice pilaf) but also meats and vegetables. Pilau is popular among the Swahili and Asian communities. Ingredients such as green bell pepper, black pepper, cardamom, ginger, turmeric and red pepper are sure to please.
